Job Advert Summary
To ensure that site achieves its objectives which are aligned to the corporate strategic direction by providing professional services in terms of the overall Inventory function in accordance with Randwaters’ policies and procedures, and sound accounting principles including relevant legislation with strict deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- Inventory Qualification (NQF Level 6)
- Inventory Qualification (NQF Level 7) added advantage
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SAP)
- 5 years of relevant experience of which 2 years must be a suupervisory capacity
- Valid drivers license with the ability to pass RW K53 test
Primary Duties
-
Stock management
- Ensure procedures and work instructions are in for main stores
- Attend to all queries pertaining to inventory, deliveries and payments thereof
- Maintain and update the stock item database on the system
- Conduct weekly, monthly, adhoc and bi-annual stock takes.
- Ensure minimal variances
- Regular communication and interaction with internal stakeholders to ensure correct items are in stock
Financial management
- Compilation of various inventory recons to General Ledger
- Processing of inventory Journals and accruals
- Overseeing the inventory year end process
Fuel management
- Attend to all fuel queries and defects to ensure fuel availability
- Ensure all legislative and safety requirements related to fuel storage and handling are adhered to
Material forecast schedules/ planning
- Ensure requisitions are created and released promptly
- Liaise with Supply Chain Department and conduct evaluations
- Compile stock tenders and monitor contracts
Waste management
- Ensure safe storage and disposal of waste
General ad-hoc management
- Assist in the department with project as and when required
- Assist with variance reporting as and when required
Human Resource Management
- Monitor and reduce absenteeism
- Ensure compliance to HR deadlines
Risk management /SHERQ
- Investigate and report all incidents
- Comply with all relevant legislation and acts
- Actively participate in all ISO activities
