SUMMARY:

DBN000257 – Internal Sales Consultant – Midrand

Purpose of the job:

Responsible for driving sales by managing key clients, handling orders, and ensuring customer needs are met from start to finish.

Required Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 required
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • SAP knowledge advantageous
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing is a plus
  • 5 years’ experience in sales or a related role
  • Solid knowledge of board and timber products essential
  • Drivers License essential

POSITION INFO:

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Plan and execute sales activities, handle enquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up to secure business
  • Identify upselling opportunities and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers through regular engagement
  • Understand client needs and provide suitable product solutions to maximize satisfaction
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally to maintain positive relationships
  • Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with performance goals (KPA’s)
  • Manage orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with clients
  • Handle administrative tasks including reporting, coordinating with warehouse, and supporting stock takes
