Role Purpose
To market and sell company products to individuals and corporate clients to ensure that sales targets are met.

Requirements

  • Relevant dimploma in business management or marketing or related qualification
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • 2-3 years sales experience in a related industry
  • Knowledge of business practices, processes and system
  • Knowledge of broker landscape
  • Product knowledge
  • Knowledge of the legislative impact on the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of relevant local market

Duties & Responsibilities
PROCESS

  • Implement the operational processes and policies for alignment of effective sales delivery.
  • In collaboration with the Sales Manager, develop sales targets for own portfolio.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and increase sales penetration levels.
  • Monitor, implementation of tactics to drive the generation of new business by agencies and brokers in line with the ethos of client centricity, product specification and company policy requirements.
  • Monitor sales and drive the achievement of sales targets by agencies and brokers in line with requirements and budget.
  • Monitor quality of business supplied by brokers and agencies.
  • Take corrective action to sustain policy retention and prospects for repeat business.
  • Provide day to day administrative support to brokers and agencies in the portfolio.
  • Monitor and manage commission payments to brokers and agencies.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement or potential challenges and implement mitigating tactics.
  • Give input on the design and development of packaging materials to enhance products.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to product specification and standards in sales promotions and the management.
  • Handle and resolve brokers and agent queries to promote business retention.
