Intern: Engineering Jobs in Soweto at National Pride
An opportunity for an Engineering Intern presents itself with our Engineering department for a period of 12 months. As a leading manufacturer of diapers, wipes and hygiene products our team is seeking a young, dynamic, self disciplined and action orientated Intern to join the business.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
Working knowledge and practical experience with AUTOCAD
AutoCAD – Intermediate Level
The candidate should be able to:
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Modify and update existing technical drawings.
- Create basic manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings.
- Manage layers, blocks, dimensions, and scales.
- Generate and print technical documentation and PDF drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
Autodesk Inventor – Basic to Intermediate Level
The candidate should be able to:
- Create basic 3D part models.
- Develop simple assemblies.
- Generate 2D drawings from 3D models.
- Modify existing designs and assemblies.
- Work with standard component libraries.
For job description:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Intermediate Level) and Autodesk Inventor (Basic to Intermediate Level) would be advantageous. The successful candidate should be capable of interpreting and updating technical drawings, creating basic 2D and 3D models, generating engineering documentation, and providing support for maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement projects.
In addition to CAD skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance principles would be highly beneficial for success in this role.

Pay: R10 500,00 – R13 000,00 per month
