Role Description
This is a contract-based, on-site position in Pretoria for an Interior Designer. The role involves designing and optimizing interior spaces with a focus on retail and commercial environments. Responsibilities include developing space plans, creating innovative interior layouts, preparing construction drawings, and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to meet project requirements. Collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients will be essential to deliver functional and aesthetic design solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Space Planning to efficiently maximize the use of interior spaces and ensure functionality.
- Knowledge of Architecture and the ability to integrate structural considerations into interior design projects.
- Experience in preparing detailed Construction Drawings for interior design specifications.
- Strong expertise in Interior Design principles, including layout, materials, and finishes.
- Familiarity with the selection and application of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
- Strong communication and client collaboration skills.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion or similar tools.
- Relevant experience in retail or commercial interior design projects is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is highly desirable.
