International Sales & Account Executive – hybrid, Cape Town

Our Head Offices are in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, UK.

We are seeking a high-performing, relationship-driven Sales & Account Executive to be based in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our total suite of adventure packages to an international clientele. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle for travelers while actively building and nurturing long term relationships with corporate accounts, charity partners, and travel groups across the UK, EU, and global markets.

The role is full time, 40 hours per week (across 5 days) – including occasional weekends

Maximum Adventure is an established adventure travel operator specializing in bespoke trekking, walking, cycling holidays, and multi-day challenge events. Your role drives bookings and manages client relationships for our extensive portfolio of world-class adventures spanning the UK, Europe (EU), and the Rest of the World (RoW). And we offer an exceptional personal service to make that happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Sales Pipeline: Manage, follow up on, and convert incoming leads from various channels (web forms, emails, and phone calls).
  • Itinerary Curation: Consult with international clients to design and cost bespoke walking, cycling, and leisure itineraries.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly individual and team sales, conversion, and revenue targets.
  • Corporate Account Management: Identify, pitch, and secure corporate clients for team-building events, charity challenges, and reward travel, managing these accounts long-term.
  • Relationship Building: Build trusted, consultative relationships with high-value private clients, tour operators, and corporate travel planners to secure repeat bookings.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven sales experience within the travel, tourism, or adventure hospitality sector.
  • Destination Knowledge: A strong, demonstrable understanding of our adventure delivery portfolio
  • Skills: Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills with strong closing and negotiation techniques.
  • Traits: A genuine passion for the outdoors and adventure travel.
