Requirements
NQF Level 4 Full Qualification Required – Any NQF higher is also benefited. Matric Certificate Class of Business Training – Both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines RE 5 Examination Signed off and completed. Supervision for Personal and Commercial Lines. Minimum 2/3 years’ experience in the Commercial field – Must be able to underwrite and sell Driver’s Licence and own Vehicle Risk Identification.
Identifying the level of risk and recognising the potential threats to a business. Underwriting Capabilities:
Ability to understand the client’s risk and underwrite a policy with all the necessary sections and cover required. Activating a policy and making relevant amendments on systems. Good comprehension of the Insurer Guidelines and the importance of underwriting limits. Good understanding of the insurer rates and risk profiling. Reviewing the insurance policy annually and discussing all aspects of recommendations, as well as highlighting policy conditions (Renewals).
