Role Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for the secure, discreet, and effective delivery of technology services across the Family Office and its connected entities. The role ensures exceptional service to the principals and executives, robust service management, effective project delivery, strong vendor governance, controlled procurement, and consistent global site support.
Operating in a high-trust, low-tolerance-for-failure environment, the role balances strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring technology enables privacy, mobility, responsiveness, and long-term value preservation.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Service Management & Operations
· Own end-to-end IT service delivery for the Family Office and related entities
· Ensure highly available, secure, and resilient systems across endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools
· Implement and operate IT service management disciplines (incident, problem, change, asset, and access management)
· Maintain strong cybersecurity posture with a focus on data confidentiality, identity protection, and threat prevention
· Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies aligned with privacy, discretion, and regulatory considerations
· Maintain and support of desktop, mobile and peripheral device environment
· Act as primary escalation point for critical incidents or service disruptions
2. Executive & Principal Support
· Provide white‑glove, highly responsive IT support to principals, family members, board members, and senior executives
· Support secure mobility, remote access, secure communications, and travel-related IT requirements
· Anticipate executive technology needs and proactively mitigate risk
· Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times
3. Project & Change Management
· Lead IT projects ranging from infrastructure upgrades to application rollouts and security enhancements
· Oversee technology integrations related to acquisitions, new investments, or new operating entities
· Coordinate change in a way that minimises disruption to principals and business operations
· Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
· Ensure project outcomes align with both business priorities and privacy requirements
4. Vendor & Third-Party Management
· Manage a curated portfolio of trusted IT vendors, MSPs, security partners, and specialist consultants
· Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and renewal terms with a strong focus on reliability, discretion, and value
· Regularly review vendor performance, risk exposure, and dependency
· Ensure third parties adhere to security, confidentiality, and data handling expectations
5. IT Procurement, Budgeting & Asset Management
· Manage IT procurement across hardware, software, licenses, managed services, and specialist solutions
· Oversee IT budgets, forecasting, and cost optimisation while maintaining service quality
· Ensure accurate tracking of IT assets and licenses across entities and locations
· Drive standardisation where appropriate while accommodating bespoke executive requirements
6. Global & Multi‑Site Support
· Oversee IT services across global offices, residences, and operating locations
· Ensure consistent standards while accommodating regional needs and local regulations
· Manage global connectivity, time‑zone‑aware support, and follow‑the‑sun vendor models where required
· Support new site openings, relocations, and temporary offices

Skills & Experience
Essential
· Proven experience as an IT Manager or senior IT lead in a Private Office, Family Office, UHNW, or similarly sensitive environment
· Strong background in IT service management and operational delivery
· Experience supporting senior executives or principals directly
· Demonstrated vendor, contract, and managed service oversight
· Solid understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, and cybersecurity
· Must have exposure to Azure cloud or previously administered an Azure cloud directory service
· Hands-on experience with IT procurement and budgeting
Desirable
· Experience supporting connected industries such as private investment, property, hospitality, luxury assets, or professional services
· ITIL and/or project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
· Experience with global or multi-jurisdictional environments
· Exposure to governance, regulatory compliance, or risk management
