KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Systems Infrastructure Management
- Administer and manage on-premises and cloud-based systems, including servers, virtualization platforms, and core enterprise applications.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of all systems through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
- Lead system upgrades, patching cycles, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide advanced technical support.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Operations & Service Delivery
Oversee day-to-day IT systems operations, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are consistently met
- Act as escalation point for complex incidents and problem management.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure systems are compliant with corporate security policies and standards.
- Support implementation of cybersecurity controls (e.g., hardening, access control, vulnerability management).
- Work closely with security and audit teams during assessments and remediation activities.
Cloud & Modernization
- Support the adoption and operation of cloud services in alignment with group cloud strategy.
- Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
- Participate in migration initiatives from on-prem to cloud environments.
- Ensure cost optimization and performance efficiency of cloud resources.
Project Delivery
- Lead or support local and regional IT infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Maintain proper documentation, change management, and handover processes.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage local IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and contractual compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into IT solutions.
- Act as a bridge between local operations and regional IT leadership.
Governance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, and operating procedures.
- Provide regular reporting on system performance, risks, and ongoing initiatives to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems architecture and configurations.
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing enterprise environments across on-prem and cloud.
- 5-8 Years of experience in FMCG or multi-site environments is an advantage
