To provide first-line technical support to employees, assist in maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, and ensure efficient resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues. The IT Assistant also supports day‑to‑day administrative and operational IT tasks to ensure smooth business continuity.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Log, track, and resolve support tickets within defined SLAs.
- Assist with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Support end-users with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all IT equipment and accessories.
- Support the issuance, tracking, and return of IT assets for employees.
- Assist in preparing equipment for onboarding and deactivation for exiting employees.
Project Support
- Assist with IT rollout projects, upgrades, deployments, and migrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in an IT support or similar role.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft 365 environment.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold IT security standards.
