Bulk Connections has an opportunity for an Information Systems Manager. This opportunity is based in Durban, reporting to the Finance Director. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria.
Main Purpose of the Job
To manage the company’s Information Technology and Communications Environment.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualifications
• IT Degree (BCom or BSC In IT)
• Project Management Certification (PMP)
Experience
• 10 years’ experience in IT, 5 years of which must be in a management position
• Extensive Knowledge in IT Governance, IT systems and Infrastructure
architecture as well as project management.
Description of the Job
• Formulate and execute the IT Strategy for the business
o Develop a 5-year IT strategy aligned to business objectives
o Include all aspects of IT Governance, Business Systems & IT Infrastructure
• Ensure IT governance framework setting and maintenance
o Set policy & standards o Manage IT risk
o Responsible for IT change management
o Manage stakeholder transparency
o Manage IT benefit delivery
• Manage the IT Project Office
o Responsible for IT programme management
o Responsible for IT project management
o Management of IT project administration activities
• Ensure the adequacy of business systems
o Develop and Manage enterprise systems architecture
o Manage systems requirements definitions
o Manage solutions identifications and build
• Manage the company’s data platform for decision support
o Manage data requirements, quality and knowledge
o Manage business Intelligence and KPI solutions
• Ensure that the IT network, communications & Systems Infrastructure is adequate to cater for the ever- growing dependency on IT
o Manage IT operations effectively as per an agreed SLA with the business.
o Manage service requests, Incidents & problems
o Manage availability & capacity management to ensure minimal negative impact to business productivity. o Manage IT continuity and disaster recovery o Manage security services
• General Management
o Manage IT Resources, Budget and Costs
o Manage suppliers and service agreements
o Manage IT portfolio o Manage IT innovation o Writing and presenting IT reports for quarterly board submissions
o Team management and monitoring teams KPIs
o Attending Bidvest Freight IT meetings
