About the position:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Psychologist to join our team, specialising in medico-legal assessments and report writing pertaining to loss of earnings potential and/or capacity because of road accidents, medical negligence, etc.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive employability and earnings assessments.
- Collect relevant collateral information.
- Compile detailed expert reports.
- Engage in joint minutes as required.
- Testify in court when required as an expert witness.
- Liaise with legal professionals, medical experts, and case managers as needed.
- Stay up to date with relevant case law, assessments norms, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology.
- Registered with the HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist (Independent Practice).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in medico-legal work (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with RAF guidelines, legal terminology, and medico-legal processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Ethical, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable giving expert testimony under cross-examination (advantageous).
