Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

Identity is at the heart of modern enterprise security — and at the heart of most modern breaches. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for IAM professionals who understand how identity systems fail in the real world and can help AI reason about those failures accurately.

This is a rare opportunity to take your hands-on security expertise beyond the enterprise and directly shape how next-generation AI understands access control, privilege escalation, and identity risk.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic IAM, SSO, and access control scenarios to identify weaknesses and misconfigurations
  • Classify permission issues, privilege escalation paths, and identity-related failure patterns
  • Review zero-trust models and evaluate access design decisions for correctness and risk
  • Generate and validate realistic identity security data used to train and evaluate AI systems
  • Provide structured expert feedback that directly improves how AI reasons about enterprise identity risk

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms
  • Solid understanding of RBAC, least-privilege principles, and access review processes
  • Familiar with how identity failures occur and how attackers exploit them in real environments
  • Able to think analytically about complex access control scenarios and communicate findings clearly
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an async, remote environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, AWS IAM, or SailPoint
  • Familiarity with identity threat models, zero-trust architecture, or PAM solutions
  • Background in security engineering, cloud security, or penetration testing
  • Prior experience contributing to AI training, red-teaming, or security research

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs worldwide
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that makes AI systems safer and more security-aware
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
