If so, then we want to talk to you! Colorado Utility Finders of Lovelandhas been helping customers find buried underground utilities since 2005. We are seeking a motivated individual with prior experience to lead our operations team as full-time Hydrovac Foreman in our Loveland, CO office. Our hydrovac teams operate a truck and hydrovac trailer to assist general construction contractors, civil engineering firms, and municipalities all up and down the Front Range. Our days typically start between 6:45-8:30am and end between 3:00-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Hydrovac Foreman reports to the General Manager and is responsible for coordinating the safety, training, and operations of the field team on a day-to-day basis.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Manage and improve operational practices
- Oversee onboarding and training of new employees
- Ensure team compliance with company safety standards
- Assist with scheduling and dispatching units
- Ensure proper preparation of vehicles and equipment for upcoming work
- Communicate with clients to understand and help them achieve their objectives
- Oversee proper care and maintenance of vehicles, field equipment and shop tools and materials
- Backfill technicians when required
- Troubleshoot challenges in the field and manage communication with technicians
- Organize and manage shop tools and supplies
- Deliver tools and/or materials to units in the field as necessary
Position Requirements
- A focus on customer service, a positive attitude, enjoy learning new things and problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lead a team and relate well to a wide variety of people (field and office)
- Experience in one of the following areas:
Hydrovac/potholing
Underground utility locating
Oil and gas
Commercial underground construction
Trucking/fleet management
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Supervisory experience
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Capable of working extended hours and variable shifts occasionally
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and are in good physical condition
- Ability to pass drug screen upon hire and regularly afterwards
What Will Put You Ahead
- Class A CDL with airbrake restrictions or no restrictions
- Prior military experience
- Farm or ranch hand experience
- Experience driving and/or maintaining automotive, farming, or other mechanical equipment
