Position Summary
The HR Officer serves as a vital link between corporate strategy and property-level hospitality operations. This role manages the day-to-day employee lifecycle across the hotel group while simultaneously providing data-driven insights and executive support directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced, 24/7 nature of hotel operations and possesses the polish and discretion required to work alongside C-suite leadership
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational HR & Employee Lifecycle (Reporting to HR Manager)
- Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment for property-level staff and mid-management, utilizing hospitality-specific job boards and networks to combat seasonal shortages.
- Onboarding & Induction: Design and facilitate engaging orientation programs that instill the hotel group’s guest-service standards from day one.
- Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for property employee grievances, conducting fair investigations and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
- Performance Management: Coordinate annual performance review cycles across all properties and assist department heads with tracking employee development plans.
- HR Administration: Maintain the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), oversee time and attendance data for payroll readiness, and manage employee digital files.
2. Strategic Support & Executive Reporting (Reporting to CEO)
- HR Analytics: Compile and analyze monthly HR metrics dashboards for the CEO, tracking critical hospitality KPIs like turnover rates, labor cost percentages, and time-to-hire.
- Culture Alignment: Execute group-wide engagement initiatives championed by the CEO to unify brand standards and company culture across different properties.
- Succession Planning: Support the CEO in mapping out high-potential talent within the group to ensure leadership pipelines for future hotel openings or expansions.
- Executive Discretion: Assist the CEO with highly confidential organizational restructuring, executive compensation benchmarking, and sensitive corporate communications.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Experience & Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years within the hospitality sector (hotels, resorts, or large restaurant groups).
Skills & Competencies
- Dual-Reporting Agility: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, balancing structured operational tasks from the HR Manager with fast-paced, strategic requests from t he CEO.
- Hospitality Acumen: Thorough understanding of hotel dynamics, including 24/7 shift patterns, seasonal staffing curves, and the distinct needs of front-of-house vs. back-of-house teams.
- Communication & Polish: High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust with frontline room attendants and confidently present data to the C-suite.
- Strict Confidentiality: Impeccable ethics and discretion when handling sensitive executive data and corporate strategy.
