Human Resources Generalist
Midrand
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this position is to manage employee relations, training, recruitment, probation, and employee performance within the Company, ensuring alignment with standard operating procedures and applicable labour legislation.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations (compulsory)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist
- Proven experience in Training Management and Certifications
- Sound knowledge of NBCRFLI, payroll processes, and leave management
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with line managers
- Recommend and discuss training requirements with the Training Manager
- Address specific skills gaps and advise on appropriate training solutions
- Track certification compliance to ensure all employees remain certified
- Manage job-specific induction programmes for new hires and internal promotions
Payroll & HR Administration
- Ensure all documentation is completed and authorised prior to appointment or promotion
- Ensure all payroll deadlines are met
- Review and verify employee monthly hours and allowances before payroll submission
- Check Distribution Centre payroll reports for accuracy
- Assist with payroll-related queries and escalate where necessary
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with the full recruitment process
- Ensure all recruitment documentation is accurately completed and submitted on time
- Support interview processes and ensure recruitment procedures are followed
- Conduct employee inductions, ensuring understanding of company policies, procedures, and benefits
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Manage employee relations in line with company policies and labour legislation
- Support probation and performance management processes
- Promote a positive and compliant workplace environment
