We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven HR Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full HR administration function, but who also has experience in finance. The job has a strong focus on payroll, employee records, compliance, and accurate monthly administration.

A key requirement for this position is solid experience in payroll administration, stipend management, and a strong working understanding of ETI tax claims. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with payroll information, supporting SARS-related submissions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that employee and learner-related payments are processed correctly and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Payroll administration, including loading new employees and maintaining payroll records

• Managing stipends and ensuring accurate monthly payment processing

• Supporting ETI tax claim administration and related record-keeping

• Assisting with SARS monthly, mid-year and year-end payroll submissions

• ESS and leave administration

• Maintaining employee records and HR documentation

• Preparing HR contracts and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes

• Preparing exit packs for terminated employees

• Responding to employee queries relating to payroll and HR administration

• Capturing supplier invoices and assisting with reconciliations

• Supporting statutory compliance, including tax clearance and other requirements

• Assisting with banking, payment submissions and liaison with the bank

• Supporting audit preparation, filing and archiving

• Managing small assets and related records

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in payroll administration

• Experience with stipend or learner payment administration

• Strong familiarity with ETI tax claims and supporting documentation

• Good understanding of HR administration and the full HR function

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

• Ability to work with confidential information

• Good communication skills and a service-focused approach

• Experience with accounting, reconciliations or creditor invoice capturing will be advantageous
