Human Resource Development Officer
To ensure the efficient management of training and development across sites in a designated area, supporting contractual objectives through effective deployment of staff, labour, plant, and materials. Must be willing to travel regular to various site around the country.
Salary: Up to R800 000.00 CTC (Depends on experience and qualifications)
Travel: Regular travel required
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Mineral Processing or related field
- Qualified Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator (registered with MQA)
- Skills Programme – Operate Mobile Machinery for Surface Excavation Operations (MQA)
- Advantageous: ISO 9001:2015, LMS, Virtual Reality, and Dover Systems knowledge
- Minimum 3 years' industrial experience as a multi-skilled operator on earthmoving equipment (FEL, ADT, Grader, TLB, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience training operators on earthmoving equipment
- Strong production background in earthmoving operations
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical and practical training using updated materials
- Conduct operator evaluations and license updates
- Perform PTO follow-ups and regular spot checks
- Contribute to course development and training improvements
- Train personnel on SOPs, STPs, COPs, and Standard Procedures
- Ensure all training documentation is filed and ISO-compliant
- Maintain records for SETA audits and compliance
- Engage with Site Agents, Supervisors, and Operators daily
- Liaise with Training Specialist/Manager
- Attend site communication forums
- Maintain employee training records and training matrix
- Compile monthly training reports and skills plans for SETAs
- Deliver scheduled and ad hoc management reports and presentations
- Assist Operators with hazard identification, risk assessments, environmental, and safety matters
- Identify operators for future training
- Assist with recruitment and selection processes
- Use initiative to resolve site issues
- Support supervisors with operator needs
- Be available on standby as required
