Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled HTML/CSS Expert to join our front-end development team. In this position, you will be responsible for creating pixel-perfect, responsive web interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences across all devices and browsers. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming design concepts into functional, accessible, and high-performance web solutions.
Ideal Candidate: You are a front-end specialist with an expert-level command of modern HTML5 and CSS3 techniques. Your work demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, cross-browser compatibility, and a deep understanding of responsive design principles. You stay current with emerging web standards and have a passion for creating clean, semantic, and maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, mobile-first web interfaces using semantic HTML5 and modern CSS3
- Implement complex layouts using Flexbox, CSS Grid, and other modern layout techniques
- Create and maintain CSS architectures (BEM, SMACSS, or similar methodologies)
- Optimize front-end performance through efficient CSS strategies and asset optimization
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Implement accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) in all markup
- Collaborate with designers to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation
- Develop and maintain UI component libraries and design systems
- Write maintainable, scalable CSS with preprocessors (Sass/SCSS preferred)
- Implement animations and interactive elements using CSS transitions and keyframes
- Stay current with emerging web standards and CSS specifications
- Mentor junior developers on HTML/CSS best practices
Education
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Development or related field (or equivalent experience)
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years professional experience in HTML/CSS development
- Expert knowledge of semantic HTML5 markup
- Mastery of modern CSS3 features and layout techniques
- Advanced skills in CSS preprocessors (Sass/SCSS)
- Experience with responsive design frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation)
- Strong understanding of CSS architecture and methodology
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with version control (Git)
- Understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and DOM manipulation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CSS-in-JS solutions
- Knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Gulp)
- Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Understanding of web accessibility standards
- Experience with email template development
