The HSQE Officer (WACS) is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (HSQE) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

The role supports operational activities across inland container depot operations, transport activities, container handling, warehouse activities, and contractor management, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international HSQE best practices.

The HSQE Officer promotes a strong safety culture, operational compliance, and environmental responsibility while supporting safe and efficient logistics operations.

Job Requirements

  • HSQE ISO Implementation experience (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • HSQE experience is required.
  • HSQE experience in Shipping / Logistics industry is preferred.
  • HSQE related training required. Show certificates/evidence.
  • Knowledgeable in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook, Teams

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the company HSQE Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices and safety culture across depot, transport, and office operations.
  • Conduct HSQE inspections and safety audits at operational sites, warehouses, and inland container depots.
  • Facilitate risk assessments (HIRAC) and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Monitor container yard safety, including loading/unloading operations, equipment use (forklifts, reach stackers), and yard traffic management.
  • Support HSQE compliance for transport and logistics operations, including vehicle inspections and driver safety practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver HSQE trainings and toolbox talks, including inductions, safety awareness, and compliance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local HSQE regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor HSQE performance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response, including fire safety and evacuation drills.
  • Monitor environmental practices, including waste management, spill prevention, and environmental compliance.
  • Prepare HSQE reports, documentation, and client safety submissions when required.
