Purpose Of The Position
As an HSE Supervisor, you will respond to the Project Manager and the QHSE Team and be part of the Qual., Health, Safety and Env department . You will be responsible for ensuring that all onshore activities at Saipem sites and facilities strictly adhere to Saipem HSE standards, local legislation, and ISO 14001/45001 requirements. Your duties include providing specialist advice to site management, overseeing the implementation of Life Saving Rules and Job Safety Analysis (JSA), coordinating HSE Officers, delivering training, and monitoring corrective actions.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Provide professional support to ensure that all activities carried out on-board Saipem sitefield/vessels (including Offshore Rigs) are conducted in strict accordance with Saipem HSE Standards, applicable local legislation, International Standards (ISO14001 and ISO 45001), Client HSE Requirements
- Provide specialist advise to management Team and workforce in general for interpretation and implementation of the applicable HSE Procedures.
- Ensure effective implementation of Life Saving Rules
- Liaise with HSE or QHSE Divisions functions, operating companies and project team in order to ensure compliance with standards and procedures on site/field/vessels.
- Support the Vessel Management Team and the workforce in the HSE Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis.
- Assist the Vessel Management Teams in the Risk Management process (i.e. implementation of Risk Control Measures)
- Deliver HSE training ▪ Take part in Accident / Incident investigation ▪ Coordinate the activities of the HSE Officers.
- Ensure the correct reporting of HSE data and monitoring of corrective actions
What are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering), Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in HSE roles within the Oil & Gas, Construction, or Manufacturing industries, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position on onshore projects (e.g., fabrication yards, refineries, or logistics bases).
- Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Saipem HSE standards and local labor/environmental legislation.Expertise in Risk Assessment (JSA/HIRA) and Accident Investigation (Root Cause Analysis).Experience in conducting HSE audits and site inspections.Strong understanding of Emergency Response planning and Waste Management.
- Certification: NEBOSH International General Certificate (highly recommended). ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal/Lead Auditor certification.Relevant local safety certifications (e.g., Técnico de Segurança no Trabalho).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence site management and workforce behavior.Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.High level of ethics and integrity.
- IT Skills: Microsoft Office
