About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR & Recruitment Coordinator to support our HR function with full recruitment coordination and high-volume HR administration.

This is not a junior role. The successful candidate must have strong recruitment experience, excellent administration skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment support from advert posting through to onboarding.
  • Post job adverts on job boards, LinkedIn, social media and internal platforms.
  • Screen CVs against role requirements and shortlist suitable candidates.
  • Communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Schedule interviews and maintain recruitment trackers.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with background screening.
  • Prepare employment contracts, onboarding packs, HR letters and employee documents.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical employee files.
  • Track probation review dates and follow up on required documents.
  • Assist with payroll information, including attendance, leave and timesheet data.
  • Support HR reporting, compliance tracking and general HR administration.
  • Respond to basic HR queries and escalate matters where required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Relevant HR qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruitment, HR administration or a similar role.
  • Strong recruitment experience is essential.
  • Experience with CV screening, interview coordination and candidate communication.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good administration, filing and document management skills.
  • Basic understanding of South African labour practices will be advantageous.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Ideal Candidate

This role will suit someone who has solid recruitment experience and is comfortable supporting a busy HR department. The ideal candidate must be able to manage recruitment administration, candidate communication, HR documents, employee files, probation tracking and general HR support.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
