The purpose of the HR practitioner function is to assist and support the business strategy and workforce to ensure efficiency, compliance, andemployee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee experience – The HR practitioner will be the first point of contact for general queries regarding group benefit
  • programs (referring employees to respective policies as required) including: employee benefits plan, medical health
  • care plan and company retirement fund.
  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment – Assist with the process of attracting, hiring, and retaining the right talent for the
  • organization. Ensure new employees have a smooth onboarding and integration into company.
  • Employee Relations – Managing workplace relationships, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment. Advise management and employees on disciplinary and grievance policies and procedures.
  • Training & Development – Providing learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth. Assist with
  • the sourcing of relevant training and keeping records on all training conducted.
  • Career development and growth – Assist Managers to identify high potential employees and to provide learning opportunities, mentorships, and career paths to help employees grow within the company.
  • Compensation & Benefits – Ensure fair and competitive salary structures and employee benefits and the administration of payroll and employee benefits.
  • Compliance & Legal Adherence – Ensuring the company follows labour laws and industry regulations.
  • Workforce Planning & Strategy – Aligning human resources with business goals for long-term success.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – Promoting a fair and inclusive workplace for all employees.
  • Employee Well-being & Engagement – Implementing programs to enhance job satisfaction and productivity.

Requirements

  • Relevan degree or National diploma with a Human Resources specialization or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 Payroll
  • Code 08 Driver's License
  • Experience a minimum of five years of progressive human resources experience and good knowledge of Namibian Labour legislation
  • Experience in Mining industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy and HR Systems
