SUMMARY:
Human Resources (HR Manager)
POSITION INFO:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the HR function within the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving effective HR practices, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with labour legislation.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and supervise the HR team, including performance management, mentoring, and development
- Oversee the full recruitment and selection process, including job advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Manage employee relations and provide guidance on disciplinary procedures and grievance handling
- Review and verify employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Coordinate and facilitate on-site training and development programmes to enhance employee skills
- Identify training needs and implement staff development initiatives
- Develop and distribute internal staff newsletters to improve communication and engagement
- Promote and support staff wellbeing initiatives, including wellness programmes and engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and employment equity requirements
- Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and documentation systems
- Assist in performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback sessions
- Support management with HR-related reporting and workforce planning
- Foster a positive workplace culture and improve employee engagement
- Handle HR administrative duties and ensure efficient HR operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices
- Experience managing a team and leading HR functions
- Strong recruitment and employee relations experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High emotional intelligence and people-focused approach
