We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team at the Lord Charles Hotel, Tribute Portfolio. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the HR function, ensuring smooth HR operations, accurate employee records, and compliance with company policies and South African labour legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records and HR files
- Assist with recruitment, screening, and interview scheduling
- Ensuring Reference checks are done on shortlisted candidates.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation .
- Creating EID’s for New Employees.
- Support payroll input (leave, Sunday time, attendance, and deductions)
- Manage HR system updates and data accuracy
- Assist with employee relations administration (scheduling, documentation)
- Coordinate training records and compliance tracking
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
- Assist with reporting, audits, and HR compliance requirements
- Submission of Injury on duties to the DOL
- Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- HR or Administration qualification (advantageous)
- 1–3 years HR administration experience (hospitality preferred)
- Knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE Act)
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with HR systems is an advantageSkills & Attributes
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment
