Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team maintaining short term vacation rental properties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will ensure each property is guest-ready, clean, and welcoming, performing a full range of cleaning, maintenance, and preparation tasks between guest stays. This role is critical for delivering a high-quality guest experience and maintaining the company’s quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
- Make beds, change linens, and manage laundry of bedding, towels, and other materials.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas, including fixtures, mirrors, and countertops.
- Empty trash and recycling containers, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items as needed.
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window cleaning, and appliance cleaning.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and adhere to established cleaning standards.
- Assist with special projects, event setup, or other duties as assigned.
- Travel between assigned properties within the workday as required.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and property presentation.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, manage time effectively, and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Flexibility to work different shifts or schedules as required.
- This position requires passing a pre-employment background screening, conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Hawaii law.
- Employees must be able to reliably report to assigned work locations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
