Role Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving operational efficiency and financial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all daily hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance.
* Recruit, manage and develop a high-performing team.
* Oversee staffing, scheduling and performance management.
* Manage budgets, financial reporting, cost control and revenue growth initiatives.
* Drive occupancy and profitability through operational and commercial strategies.
* Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and resolve customer concerns professionally.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and hospitality regulations.
* Manage supplier and contractor relationships.
* Report regularly to ownership on operational and financial performance.
Requirements
* Proven experience managing a hotel or hospitality operation.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial management.
* Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Sound knowledge of hospitality health and safety standards.
* Ability to work on-site, with flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
* Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related qualification is advantageous, although relevant experience will be considered.
