We are recruiting a Hotel Accountant with a BCom qualification and between five and eight years’ experience to join a hospitality-focused operation based in Menlyn.
Exposure to property or hospitality environments is highly advantageous, even if this experience was gained during articles.
Step Into a Role Close to Operations
This role supports the full accounting function within a hospitality and property environment.
The Hotel Accountant will work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate reporting, financial control, and operational support. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential in this hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full accounting responsibilities within a hospitality or property environment
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Work closely with operational teams to maintain financial control
- Participate in and review stock take processes where applicable
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Use advanced MS Excel for reporting, analysis, and reconciliations
Who Should Apply
- BCom degree in accounting
- Completion of articles or article exposure beneficial
- 5 to 8 years’ accounting experience
- Experience in hospitality or property environments advantageous
- Hospitality or property exposure gained during articles will be considered
- Strong proficiency in advanced MS Excel
- Stock take experience beneficial
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Based in, or willing to work in, Menlyn
