Role Description The Host/Hostess role at Hilton Cairo Zamalek Residences is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, the team member will greet and welcome guests, manage waiting lists, escort guests to tables, and provide menus while ensuring a warm and efficient first impression of the dining venues. The Host/Hostess will handle restaurant reservations, coordinate seating arrangements with the service team, and answer guest inquiries in person and over the phone. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized reception and waiting area, communicating special requests and dietary needs to the service staff, and supporting overall guest satisfaction. The role also involves collaborating closely with kitchen and service teams to manage guest flow and uphold Hilton service standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming, friendly, and professional guest experience.
  • Clear and confident Communication abilities, including effective Phone Etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations.
  • Experience with Reservations processes, including managing booking systems and coordinating seating plans.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality front-of-house role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional languages, especially Arabic or other widely spoken languages, are an advantage.
  • Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
