Qualifications:
Has four (4) years of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice care or in a health care setting.
Baccalaureate degree in administration or health related field is required.
Knowledge of third party reimbursement, marketing and sales
Positive interpersonal skills required
Licensed Registered Nurse RN in the state of Ohio
The program director demonstrates current knowledge of Hospice, OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations; demonstrates the ability to apply and enforce them in the Hospice Program.
Demonstrates knowledge of Hospice services, philosophy and trends in end-of-life/palliative care support to patients and their families. Leads the hospice team in role-modeling the company’s expectation of superior services that sets aside the hospice agency from others.
Serves in a leadership role regarding quality through role modeling, positive behavior, requiring the presence of quality monitors and developing standards of care.
Provides and assures timely and appropriate communication with team members. Meets directly with staff and management as needed and utilizes appropriate communication techniques.
Identifies, implements and oversees the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Program.
