Contract: Fixed Term (1 Year)

Start Date: May 2026  

Key Responsibilities

 Teach History learners according to CAPS curriculum.

 Deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking and problem-solving.

 Develop lesson plans, assessments, and monitor learner progress.

 Integrate ICT and digital tools into lessons.

 Maintain records of attendance and assessments.

 Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school activities.

 Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Requirements

 BEd, BA and/or PGCE in FET phase education, with an honours degree in education

(in the relevant subject/s) advantageous

 Minimum 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher

 Knowledge of the IEB curriculum

 Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills

 Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills

 Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends

 Proficient in Microsoft Office

 SACE-registered

 Clear criminal record

 Classroom management, organisational, and digital skills.
