MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- National Diiploma of Health Science: Biomedical Technology
- Registration with the HPCSA in the Histopatholological technique as Medical Technologist/Medical Technician
- Experience in Anatomical Pathology
- Knowledge for the usage of specialised instrumentation
- Accuracy and organization skills
- Attention to detail and strive for an error free standard
- Time management and evaluations
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Perform equipment maintenance and root cause analysis.
- Completing action reports according to SOP’s
- Trouble shooting laboratory equipment and quality control independently
- Adhere to analytical times and basis TAT when embedding, cutting, staining, quality control checks and despatching of H/E special stains, frozen section biopsies and IMF
- Verify QC of test results
QMS
- Interpret all Quality Controls
- Review/participate and submit EQA
Must have reliable transport
