Position: Health and Safety officer Permanent
Location: Gqeberha
- SAMTRAC or a National Diploma in Safety Management (or similar).
- Minimum 3 experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
. - Good understanding of the OHS Act and safety systems
. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits on equipment, facilities, and work areas.
- Investigate workplace incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Carry out hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
- Ensure contractors and employees follow all safety procedures and permit requirements.
- Assist with safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Monitor environmental compliance and support environmental audits.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance registers.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all shifts.
We are looking for a SHE Officer to support and maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance on site. This role will be responsible for ensuring employees work in a safe environment and that all safety policies and legal requirements are followed.
