Silicon Valley International School is recruiting outstanding, bilingual leaders (English at C2 level required; Arabic strongly preferred) to head departments and raise student achievement across Grades 1-9.

What you will do
- Lead the vision, standards, and daily operations for your subject from Grade 1 to Grade 9.
- Align curriculum, teaching, and assessment to the relevant division:
- British roles: follow the Cambridge and United Kingdom frameworks for Primary and Lower Secondary.
- American roles: follow United States college‑ and career‑readiness standards for Elementary and Middle School.
- Cross‑division roles (French, German, Chinese, Art, Music, Library): design one coherent program that serves both divisions.
- Build clear scope and sequence, unit plans, and common assessments with visible progression.
- Coach and evaluate teachers; provide observations, feedback, and targeted professional learning.
- Use classroom and benchmark data to monitor progress, close learning gaps, and extend high achievers.
- Promote engaging learning and purposeful use of educational technology.
- Manage resources and contribute to staffing and timetables.
- Communicate clearly with families and represent your subject in school leadership.
What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject or in Education with a subject focus and a recognized teaching qualification is a must. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least five years of successful teaching and proven leadership or coordination experience.
- Strong knowledge of learning progressions and effective assessment from Grade 1 to Grade 9.
- British English, Mathematics, and Science heads: successful record with Cambridge and the United Kingdom frameworks.
- American English, Mathematics, and Science heads: successful record with United States standards.
- Cross‑division heads (French, German, Chinese, Art, Music, Library, and Media): proven ability to operate effectively in both divisions.
- Bilingual communication: English at C2 level required; Arabic strongly preferred for working with families and staff.
- Evidence of raising student outcomes through curriculum design, coaching, and effective use of data.
