Planning
Requirements
- A BEng / BSc degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
as Professional Engineer (PrEng).
- 8 – 10 years’ experience including planning, wastewater treatment
process / wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) designs, process
simulations, WWTP debottlenecking / optimisation as well as
exposure to project / contract management of WWTP construction
projects.
- Formal training at postgraduate level in wastewater treatment
process design & modelling advantageous.
- A valid Code EB driver’s licence.
- Must be physically fit and able-bodied.
Key Performance Areas
- Strategic planning and development of wastewater treatment
plant (WWTP) infrastructure in keeping with service delivery
requirements.
- Project Management and Process design direct and control
outcomes associated with engineering designs of the Wastewater
Treatment Plants (WWTPs).
- Performance and financial modelling to Identify and define the
short, medium and long-term objectives in context to Wastewater
Treatment Infrastructure and Master Plans.
- Provide a specialist wastewater treatment design advisory and
project engineering support service to the Wastewater Branch.
- Direct and control the professional, technical and operational
outcomes associated with the functions related to WWTW, and
disseminates functional information for short, long and current
developments, problems and constraints.
