Role Description The Head Waiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharm El-Sheikh, responsible for overseeing daily service operations in the restaurant or dining area. This role leads and coordinates the service team, allocates sections, and ensures that guests are greeted, seated, and served promptly and courteously. The Head Waiter supervises table setup, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and clearing, ensuring that all service standards and hygiene procedures are consistently met. This position supports staff training, manages guest feedback, and collaborates with the kitchen and bar teams to handle special requests and resolve service issues. The Head Waiter also assists with shift planning, stock control for service items, and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing abilities, including excellent Customer Service skills and clear, professional Communication.
  • Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu items, pairing suggestions, and basic product knowledge.
  • Hands-on Food Service experience in a hotel or restaurant environment, including supervising service flow and coordinating a service team.
  • Basic Cooking knowledge is an advantage, supporting effective communication with kitchen staff and understanding of dish preparation and timing.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior waiter role, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure during peak service times.
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a respectful, inclusive work environment.
  • Good command of English; additional languages relevant to international guests are an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
