Head of QA/QC (Quality Assurance & Quality Control)

Position Summary

The Head of QA/QC is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s quality management systems to ensure that all projects, products, and services meet defined quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

This role provides strategic leadership for quality assurance and quality control across all project phases, ensuring continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and manage the QA/QC team across multiple projects and operational sites.
  • Establish quality policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Quality Management Systems

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001 and other applicable industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation control systems and ensure accurate record keeping.

Project Quality Oversight

  • Ensure quality requirements are embedded throughout project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Oversee inspection and testing plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented where required.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and industry quality requirements.
  • Manage internal and external quality audits.
  • Investigate quality incidents and implement root cause analysis.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for clients, regulators, and third-party auditors.
  • Support project teams in meeting client quality expectations.
  • Participate in project reviews, quality planning meetings, and performance evaluations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor quality performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations and projects.
  • Drive lessons learned and best practice sharing within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Professional certification in quality management such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is highly advantageous.
  • 10–12 years of experience in QA/QC within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries.
  • Minimum 10 years in a senior quality leadership role.
