C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.
C-Care is currently seeking a Head of Projects for the East Africa Region, based in Uganda.
Head of Projects
Reporting to the CEO – East Africa or such other senior leader as may be designated, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for infrastructure development and capital project delivery across the region, supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance and C-Care's long-term growth ambitions.
What you will be doing:
• Lead the planning, execution and commissioning of hospital construction, expansion and renovation projects, ensuring successful delivery within approved timelines and budgets.
• Drive the implementation of strategic infrastructure initiatives that support operational excellence and C-Care's long-term growth ambitions.
• Manage relationships with contractors, consultants and external partners to ensure quality, compliance and efficient project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Group standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with clinical, engineering and operational teams to ensure infrastructure readiness and minimal disruption to healthcare services.
• Develop and monitor project budgets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and value creation.
• Provide leadership across project teams and foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience with leadership exposure.
• Proven experience in healthcare or complex infrastructure environments.
• Strong project execution and stakeholder management capabilities.
