Job Summary
The Head of Post Production is responsible for leading the company's post-production function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent video content. This role oversees all editing workflows, motion graphics, color grading, sound design, visual effects, and final delivery across marketing campaigns, social media, corporate communications, employer branding, and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is a creative leader with exceptional technical expertise in video editing and post-production, capable of managing multiple projects, mentoring a high-performing team, and continuously improving creative quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Production Leadership
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end post-production process for all video projects.
- Establish creative and technical standards for editing, motion graphics, color grading, sound, and visual effects.
- Ensure all video deliverables align with the company's brand identity and quality expectations.
- Review and approve final video content before publication.
Editing & Creative Direction
- Supervise video editing for promotional videos, social media content, advertisements, corporate videos, testimonials, training materials, and internal communications.
- Guide editors on pacing, storytelling, transitions, music selection, and overall creative execution.
- Ensure videos are optimized for different platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and websites.
- Maintain consistency in visual style and storytelling across all content.
Motion Graphics & Visual Effects
- Oversee the creation of motion graphics, title animations, lower thirds, and visual effects.
- Ensure motion design enhances storytelling while maintaining brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the Design team on visual assets and animations.
Audio & Color Management
- Ensure high-quality sound editing, mixing, and mastering.
- Oversee color correction and color grading to maintain a polished, professional look.
- Ensure technical quality standards for all exported content.
Workflow & Asset Management
- Develop and optimize post-production workflows and approval processes.
- Manage project timelines and resource allocation across multiple editing projects.
- Maintain organized media libraries, project files, templates, and backups.
- Implement efficient file management and version control practices.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop Video Editors, Motion Graphics Designers, Animators, and other post-production professionals.
- Assign workloads and monitor team performance.
- Conduct coaching sessions and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Videographers, Marketing, Content, Design, PR, HR, and Product teams to deliver impactful video content.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and campaign planning.
- Coordinate with external freelancers, agencies, and production vendors when required.
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Stay current with emerging editing techniques, AI-powered editing tools, motion graphics trends, and post-production technologies.
- Recommend new software, hardware, and workflow improvements.
- Continuously improve editing efficiency and production quality.
Leadership Responsibilities

- Manage post-production schedules and priorities.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Media Studies, Digital Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in video editing or post-production are a plus.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in video editing and post-production.
- Minimum2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience leading post-production teams in a corporate, agency, or media environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in editing, motion graphics, and storytelling.
