Role Overview:
The Head of New Business Development will be responsible for leading and executing the West Coast Group's strategy for expanding its business footprint. This includes identifying and securing new franchisees, finding new locations for the group’s restaurant brands, and driving the growth of the brand portfolio. This is the most critical aspect of the role, and the individual will be expected to develop relationships with potential franchise partners, evaluate site locations, and lead negotiations to secure new restaurant openings. This is a senior full-time, on-site role based in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities:
- Franchise Development & Expansion:
- Identify and recruit new franchisees who align with the company’s vision and values, fostering long-term, successful partnerships to expand the group's brands.
- Site Location Analysis & Acquisition:
- Source, evaluate, and secure prime locations for new restaurants, ensuring each site fits the brand’s criteria and contributes to the group's overall growth strategy.
- Business Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for new business development, with a primary focus on expanding the franchise network and securing new locations in key markets.
- Sales Management:
- Drive sales activities through both new and existing channels, managing key accounts and ensuring business targets are met.
- New Business Opportunities:
- Identify and secure new partnerships, collaborations, and ventures that expand the group’s presence and reach.
- Negotiation & Relationship Building:
- Engage in negotiations with potential franchisees, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to secure mutually beneficial collaborations and business agreements.
- Revenue Growth:
- Lead initiatives that drive growth and profitability, ensuring new franchise and location ventures align with financial objectives.
- Market Analysis:
- Continuously analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences to inform business decisions and opportunities.
Qualifications
- New Business Development, Business Planning, and Sales skills
- Expertise in Business Development and Negotiation
- Proven track record in driving growth and establishing new business opportunities
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in the hospitality or related industry is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or relevant field
Compensation
- Annual CTC: R1,200,000
- Bonus Potential: Up to R1,000,000
