SUMMARY:

A prominent player in South Africa’s technology and digital marketplace sector, is on the lookout for a visionary Head of Marketing. This is a newly invigorated role designed to take a trusted national platform to its next level of market leadership. You will sit at the intersection of brand, product, and commercial strategy, driving growth across both consumer and business audiences.

We are seeking a leader who is equally comfortable defining a brand narrative as they are optimizing a digital conversion funnel. You will report to executive leadership and be responsible for transforming marketing into a core driver of business growth.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Integrated Marketing Strategy: Align marketing initiatives with overall business goals, translating company objectives into a clear, measurable marketing roadmap

Brand Stewardship: Define and strengthen brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Lead creative campaigns and manage external communications

Acquisition & Growth: Oversee digital acquisition strategies to scale high-quality customer and client bases. Unlock new channels and optimize marketing spend for efficiency

Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with Product, Commercial, and Sales teams to launch new features and initiatives, ensuring strong market adoption and revenue impact

Customer Engagement: Develop lifecycle marketing strategies (CRM, email, push) to enhance engagement, retention, and customer loyalty

Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive landscapes and market trends, using data analytics to inform strategy and provide actionable insights to leadership

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team. Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and data-driven performance

Skills & Experience (Not negotiable):

Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Business, or Communications)

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing, with a strong track record in digital-first environments

Proven experience leading high-impact, integrated marketing campaigns that delivered measurable business growth

Deep expertise across brand marketing and performance marketing channels

Prior experience managing cross-functional teams and external agency partners
