We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially astute professional who can hit the ground running and strengthen enterprise-wide risk and compliance frameworks across a complex, multi-entity environment.
As the Head of Group Risk & Compliance, you will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and take ownership of driving enterprise risk management and compliance excellence across the Group.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding the business against financial, operational, and reputational risks, while embedding a strong risk culture throughout the organisation.

Duties:
- Lead and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
- Oversee the full Group compliance universe across all entities and geographies
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and internal policies
- Drive proactive risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Promote a strong, embedded risk and compliance culture across the business
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Risk, Finance, Law, or related field
- Postgraduate degree in Risk, Finance, Law, or related field
- Professional certifications such as IRMSA, CFA, CIA, or CISA (advantageous)
Experience:
- 10–15 years’ experience in risk management and compliance
- Minimum 5 years at a senior strategic leadership level
- Proven experience in complex, multi-entity organisations
- Strong background in enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Ability to operate at executive level with strong business acumen
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to operate at executive level
- Deep understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills across complex organisations
- Excellent communication and executive reporting capability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive risk mindset
- Ability to drive change and embed a strong risk and compliance culture
