We are currently recruiting for a passionate and motivated Head of Conveyancing to join our team based in Cape Town, Tokai.
The Head of Conveyancing is responsible for managing all conveyancing matters across the Amdec Group. The role requires extensive knowledge and experience of conveyancing procedures with the ability to lead internal and external conveyancing professionals to ensure that conveyancing matters are concluded as efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the conveyancing team and ensure registration of matters as efficiently as possible
- The conveyancing team includes internal team members and external conveyancing attorneys that need to be managed
- All conveyancing reports must be compiled by the internal team and checked by the Conveyancing Head as accurate and up to date
- The internal team are to be adequately trained on efficient conveyancing procedures and systems.
- Have oversight of and ensure compliance with FICA requirements and internal compliance procedures.
- Liaising with key stakeholders internally on all conveyancing matters including managing directors.
- Resolve any and all conveyancing issues promptly and professionally.
- Lead the team and be outcomes-based in your approach.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- Admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public
Experience
- Minimum 6–10 years’ experience managing a conveyancing department.
- Extensive experience in transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and Deeds Office procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
