About the Job
- Relocation to Algeria is a prerequisite for this position.
- The Purchasing Algeria leads and manages purchasing activities in Algeria, ensuring alignment with global purchasing strategy and coordination with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams across vehicle programs. The role manages the full sourcing process from supplier selection to serial production, ensuring cost competitiveness, risk control, and compliance with contractual obligations. In addition, the position leads the local purchasing team, manages key supplier relationships, and acts as the main interface between global purchasing and local stakeholders to ensure competitiveness and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the purchasing strategy in Algeria, aligned with global objectives
- Develop a competitive local supplier ecosystem to support industrial growth and localization
- Lead sourcing and resourcing activities for vehicle programs
- Ensure performance on cost, quality, and delivery (TPC, KPI, supplier performance)
- Manage and develop the local purchasing team
- Build strong partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in automotive purchasing / supply chain, including leadership roles
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier development
- Proven experience in project/program purchasing
- Ability to operate in a dynamic and emerging industrial environment
- Strong leadership, resilience, and stakeholder management
- Fluent in English (international environment) and French
- Languages: Fluent in English (international environment) and French
- Location: Algeria (Oran or Algiers)
