Job Summary
To provide strategic leadership and direction for the Business by driving business growth, operational excellence, profitability, market expansion, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction across all gas operations, while ensuring alignment with the Group’s overall business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Gas Business in line with the Group's corporate objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, market share expansion, and sustainable business performance across all gas operations.
- Oversee the management and performance of LPG plants, gas distribution channels, and related operational activities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to drive strategic decision-making.
- Ensure efficient management of gas procurement, storage, transportation, and distribution activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, regulators, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Ensure health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) compliance across all business locations.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and business performance reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead, mentor, and develop management teams to achieve business objectives and build organizational capability.
- Collaborate with other business units to optimize synergies and enhance overall Group performance.
- Provide periodic business performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive management.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 7 years in a senior management or leadership role.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of LPG operations, gas marketing, supply chain management, and downstream oil and gas operations.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, operations management, and commercial leadership.
Desirable:
- MBA or master’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications in Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies.
