My client based in Jhb is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Business Applications to lead and govern their enterprise application landscape. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the business applications portfolio, enabling seamless integration between enterprise systems while driving innovation, digital transformation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about digital transformation, innovation, governance, and building high-performing teams that deliver measurable business value.
Essential Experience
• BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in application management.
• At least 5 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture.
• People Management / Leadership skills would be essential
• Extensive experience managing business applications
• Experience overseeing mobile application development and digital product delivery.
• AI/ML solutions experience would be advantageous
• TOGAF, BPMN, LeanIX, APQC
• Service Management Platforms (ServiceNow, ITIL)
• Cloud Strategy and Data Management (Power BI, Tableau, Data Lakes)
• Agile and/or Scrum Certifications
