About the Role: We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Handyman Assistant to support the maintenance and upkeep of our Johannesburg office facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and well-functioning environment, and thrives in a team-oriented setting. You will assist with general maintenance, minor repairs, and day-to-day facility needs, ensuring our workspaces remain clean, safe, and fully operational.

Key Performance Area
General Maintenance
- Assist with maintenance across all Johannesburg office buildings
- Support routine inspections of facilities, fixtures, and fittings
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure tasks are completed within agreed timelines
Repairs & Upkeep
- Assist with repairing office furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Support painting, touch-ups, and minor refurbishments
- Help maintain doors, locks, windows, gutters, and drainage systems
- Perform basic carpentry and general DIY tasks
Plumbing Support
- Assist with basic plumbing (e.g., replacing washers, fixing taps, unblocking toilets)
- Escalate complex plumbing issues to management
Office Support
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and materials
- Help set up meeting rooms, workstations, and office spaces
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
External Areas
- Assist with inspections of outdoor areas and structures
- Carry out minor repairs or report replacement needs
Mininum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Ability to safely use basic tools and equipment

Working Hours
- Up to 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (8–9 hours per day, depending on roster
- Required to work alternate Saturdays based on operational needs
