Overview
We are seeking talented Hand-Folded Dumpling Artisans to join our kitchen team at our upscale dumpling restaurant. In this specialized role, you will focus on crafting beautiful, consistently hand-folded dumplings from scratch in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about the artistry and craftsmanship of dumpling making.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience hand-folding dumplings or strong relevant kitchen experience in upscale/Asian restaurants
- Excellent hand dexterity and a keen eye for detail to ensure uniform size, shape, and elegant pleating
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper handling of fresh fillings and dough
- Ability to work quickly and precisely under pressure during peak service
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
Responsibilities
- Prepare dumplings to exact recipe standards, including mixing premium fillings, rolling wrappers, hand-folding, pleating, and sealing
- Assemble and finish dumplings for steaming, pan-frying, boiling, or other cooking methods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dumpling station throughout service
- Monitor inventory of dumpling ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality output during service
- Strictly adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Training & Compensation
- Start at $16.00 per hour during the initial training period
- Increase to $21.00 per hour after successfully completing training and demonstrating consistent quality and speed
