SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong Group Accountant within a listed reporting environment.
This role is centered on group consolidations, IFRS application, and external reporting across multiple entities. This is deal for a qualified CA(SA) with proven group reporting experience seeking exposure to complex, high-impact financial reporting.
POSITION INFO:
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly consolidated group financial results
- Perform group-level consolidations including intercompany eliminations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, and reporting standards
- Prepare board packs, financial statements, and group reporting schedules
- Analyse financial results and highlight trends and key insights to management
- Coordinate and support budgeting and forecasting at group level
- Assist with preparation of tax calculations and financial statement disclosures
- Support financial statement approvals and ensure regulatory compliance
- Liaise with auditors and manage audit deliverables and queries
- Maintain reporting structures and hierarchies within finance systems
- Provide technical IFRS guidance across the group and support finance teams
- Contribute to ad‑hoc group finance projects and reporting improvements
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a group reporting / consolidations environment
- Proven experience with group-level financial reporting – non-negotiable
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge and application
- Experience working in a listed, large group, or multi-entity environment
- FMCG or Retail exposure – advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
