Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Groundworker, with responsibilities carried out in North-West, South Africa and some tasks allowing for remote work. The Groundworker will engage in tasks such as site preparation, trench digging, laying foundations, drainage work, and general maintenance of construction areas. You will work closely with team members to ensure all groundwork is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards, adhering to project timelines and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Hands-on skills in site preparation, drainage installation, trench digging, and concrete placing
- Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines relevant to construction and groundwork
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical plans and specifications
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments
- Experience with construction equipment and tools is a plus
- Previous experience in civil engineering or groundwork is desirable
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to construction sites as needed
